Jackamiah Meaney 2008-09-03 . chapter 2this is quite possibly the most entertaining thing i've found in absolute ages, and i love, love pippin's and so many others. thank you, and very well done! you've a gift for the limerick. i love rhyme, but i can just never get the syllables right myself. ^.^ fantastically done. |
Poppy Muddyfoot 2005-11-23 . chapter 2 Oh Llinos, what fun! These are marvelous! I know I ought to say that the ones about the Fellowship were my favorites (and I did love them BTW), but my favorite was the one you did for Saoirse. I loved how you turned the table on her. I also enjoyed the ones for Fatty Bolger and Shadowfax. Please, please do some more. Characters-hm, let me see...how about Barliman Butterburr. Or Grima Wormtongue. Or Deagol. Or Quickbeam. Or a Barrowwight. OMG what about Figwit! (I know you said only one, but I wanted to give you lots to choose from.) Looking forward to more, Poppy Muddyfoot. |
Hoofin' It 2005-11-21 . chapter 1 LUV THE LEGOLAS ONE!! KEEP IT UP! |
Lindelea1 2005-11-16 . chapter 1"It's cheap, though the service may vary!"

Lindelea1 2005-11-16 . chapter 2Very clever! I must admit you saved the best for last. (Actually, a curry would taste good about now.)
How about my personal favourite, Beregond? |
sarahsweeties 2005-10-27 . chapter 2 oh excellent!! yes that was funny.

arwen, figwit, wormtongue, witch-king of angmar, sauron, the orc who had the skull on his head in rotk (dont i make weird requests?) :)

luv, sarah |
Ica44 2005-10-24 . chapter 2That was hilarious!! Thanks for the Eowyn and Eomer limericks--they were great. I also thought Gollum's was hilarious!! I think my favourite, however, was "The venerable hero of Helm's Deep"! I loved it! |
AngieT 2005-10-24 . chapter 2Snarf and snort. You really have a talent for these. Totally brilliant! |
Sam 2005-10-22 . chapter 2 Yay! More limericks. These are awesome. My fav is, of course, the Éowyn of Rohan one. Hehe, I remembered that one from England. How on earth you manage to come up with these, while driving no less, is beyond me.
I was reading these and I was like...I remember this one! You did add a few since August though, so that I got a few surprises. :) |
Grey_wonderer 2005-10-21 . chapter 2 Bravo! I loved them all, but especially fond of "Saruman the White" and "Smeagol" precious. Now, here's a little request for the next round, how about one for that Troll that Pippin kills or something for Shelob maybe? I am so glad that you've written more of these. |
Saoirse 2005-10-21 . chapter 2 *laughs!* LoL! *clap clap clap* Wonderful, haha! You made my day with this delightful little snippet! How honored I am to be included amongst such lofty company!
Thanks for this! :) |
Goldberry 2005-10-21 . chapter 2 hey how about one about the greatest character of them all Tom Bombadil or Dernhelm ? |
Dreamflower 2005-10-21 . chapter 2 Oh I do love my Fatty Bolger limerick. ((hugs it tightly))
The Sharky-plan diet, huh? Might work... |
Hebir Naid Thurin 2005-10-21 . chapter 2Wow, you're really talented! Could you please do one for our handsome hunk Figwit? Please? |
Inkling3 2005-10-21 . chapter 2*Snort! Snicker! Giggle! Guffaw!* Ah Llinos, these are just priceless!
Loved the Saruman ones (Two--thank you!) Wonder if he can get the BBC on that thing...
The Old Bloke and Treebeard were great too. And Shadowfax! The first verse evoked this very scary mental image of the great horse fluttering his lips and whinnying, "Gan-dalf!" just like, well, I'll let this new closing line speak for itself:
Shadowfax just shook his head,
"In spite of the fanfic you've read,
I am only a horse,
So I don't talk of course,
Who'd you expect--Mr. Ed?"
And the second one contains my favorite of your rhymes:
Before shouting 'Shadowfax', he
Could try calling a taxi,
I couldn't help but notice your final comment, "That's it for now, unless..." which immediately got me fantasizing about...Limericks 3: The Villain Series
I know that requesting a whole series is rather greedy and demanding, so I won't presume to suggest which villains. And, I'll even make a contribution...
The Eye of Mordor
The Dark Lord said with a sigh,
"It's no fun being just a Great Eye!
When that little twit
Threw my Ring in the pit,
I couldn't do nuthin' but cry!" |
