VERY well written. i love the use of language in this story, it's so close to the original. very well done, and nicely tied into cannon. it's nice that your plot twists are not unbelievable. i love it.

I liked it, though it was very dark. It was interesting how the ending paralleled the book's end (injured arm, Donlevy shot).

It's hard to believe that no one has reviewed this yet. The story you've created here is just brilliant. Everything fits very well into the kanon of LRK's series, even the slash, which came up in MREG and also suits Donleavy's peculiar personality. The twist with Donleavy taking Russell to Baker St. was a great idea, and the ending, though it does have a little bit of hope for the future in that last line, is quite heartbreaking. How can you write this fandom so well? *sigh* Wonderful story. =)
