Your wrote this piece beautifully. I especially liked the scenery you picked out. My favorite lines were:

"He would die like his father, trying to give the world a chance to run. He would die like his godfather, laughing in the face of his enemy."

and

"Let the heirlooms of Slytherin rest in a watery grave; let the heir of Slytherin fall."

Oh, this is so sad. But beautifully done. I love the comparison between Tom Riddle losing his mother at his birth and Lily doing the same, but still having people to love her.

I like this. I love Harry's determination to carry on fighting despite what he has lost, and his sense that those who had died were still with him somehow.

This last chapter is so sad! It's really powerful and deserves a lot of credit.

Hmm ... once again, incredibly poignant, and the idea that she could live through a war and then die in such a manner is absolutely heartbreaking. The beginning didn't quite work for me - I think you tried to cover too much of the war in too few sentences, and it showed. A few more facts stranded throughout the story would work well. However, a very realistic portrayal of grief and extremely good descriptions. :)

Oh, I wish I could be a part of the Sirius is not dead club. I wish he was still alive, but I believe in canon. :)

Anyway, I think this was gorgeous, the writing flowed incredibly well and the grief was poignant and touching without making the reader weepy and depressed ... Great work.

Thats so sad :'( You just can't begin to imagine how much he's lost and how something as innocent as a child has come when something so horrible has ended. Great work.

Great fic. It was sad and really showed how much you can lose when a war is going on. But you still have to fight so those love ones won't die in vain.
