I liked it, short and sweet and very well written. I never expected to find King's Blade Fanfiction either, seeing as I have never met anyone who has heard of either Dave Duncan or The King's Blades. Definitely a very pleasant suprise!

Very nice capture and expansion from that mention in the book; it was well written. I especially liked the part, "Standing in safety, basking in the evening glow, Candidate Stalwart smirked." Quite like Stalwart indeed.

As with SlytherAway, I'm surprised that there is fan fiction for Duncn's books. It was very pleasing to find some. I shall check out your other works. :)

WOW. You cannot believe how shocked I was that King's Blades actually had fanfiction! I love those books, and I love Dave Duncan! But nobody else I've ever talked to seems to heard of him...
