I also loved that Devon's reasoning for not offering John the job initially was based on True, very in character. And I love the scene at the end between John and True. He's such a wonderful dad! Good point in your notes about whether or not they had met before the pilot. I never thought about that before. I'll have to rewatch the pilot ep and see if there's any indication that she actually does recognize him. I would assume a control freak like Devon would at the very least know who her Ops Chief was. So it would make sense that she knows who he is but is just pretending not to in order to get rid of him.

Rebecca 2005-08-05 ch 1, anon.	abuseI liked this one. I've been on a desperate hunt for E2 fic ever since I got the DVDs a few days ago. This one was nice. I always like the Danziger-gets-the-job -fics. I enjoyed his behavior towards Devon - very in-characer. Like how he underestimated her and assumed it was a "schmoozing" meeting. And that he didn't say "oh God, I misjudged her terribly" when he found out the truth. Loved his concern for True and his desire to give her a better life. Oh, and I liked the bit about the trip being two years away (even though we all know it'll be more like four) because it really compliments the mentions of how they tried to tie Devon up in red tape and delay her as much as they could. The only thing missing was a mention how crazy Devon must be to undertake this plan.
