Frankly, I love your take that is so different from the normal Inupapa-is-great-and-everything-was-wonderful-until-he-died template. It reminds me a lot of backroom scandals that dogged the imperial courts of China, Japan and Korea. Very intricately done.

Characterizing Inu-papa as evil was an interesting twist. Well written and well thought out, good charaterization of Sesshomaru. I'm proud to share second place in the contest with you. ~_^

Caitriona 2005-10-22 ch 2, anon.	abuseI think this is a wonderful wonderful story. So many stories I have read have Sessmom being this hateful ** of a demon who makes Izayoi's life a living hell. But in this one you have given her a "humanity" that I feel has been missing from her character. You also give a rather plausible reason for Tensaiga and Tessaiga to be so different. Your explination of Sess's attitude toward his father (wanting to be greater than him), Inuyasha (his father's mistake which made his life even more difficult), and humans (one of them stole his chance to prove himself greater than his father) is wonderful, and also allows for him to have a different attitude toward Rin. A+ work! Thanks so for writing for us. Caitriona

I always thought of Sesshomaru's father to be nice and noble and all that stuff, to read about him not being what i expected made this story more interesting and adicting, i couldnt stop reading it.
