This is, without a doubt, one of the best Willy Wonka stories I have ever read. Bravo.

...too lazy to log in...

wow. that was...almost brilliant. if not for the kiss (which really creeped me out) I'd say this would probably be the best Wilder Wonka fic I've ever read. I'm not a fan of slash of any kind, but Wonka, (especially Wilder Wonka) is completely insane, so I don't really feel slash was implied.
That aside, I'm really glad I found this fic--there really aren't a lot of Wonka fics based on the original movie. And the way you captured both characters was amazing...Eddie made me laugh and feel sorry for him at the same time, especially when I pictured Mr. Wilkonson's face cursing like that XD And Wonka...it was so well-done, and very believable. ME being the Wilder Wonka fangirl that I am, it was nice to read a fic that WASN'T bsed on the 2005 movie.

Thank you for a wonderful read!

That was AWESOME! It's been so long since I've seen the whole original movie that I don't even remember who Eddie was, but it didn't matter. It was still great. Depp and Wilder were duking it out in my head for the right to this story's image of Wonka. I can't help it that I've seen more of Depp lately. Thta did fit Wilder's portrayal of Wonka perfectly though (I think. Like I said, It's been awhile). Anyhoo, despite my battling mental images, your story was great. Your grammar and spelling was excellent, and thank you, THANK you, so much, for coming up with an original idea (and using a less known character)! Your story is a welcome relief from the wealth of crap CatCF that populates the internet. Its worth searching through all the bad ones to find one good one like your's.

Wow. I'm at a loss of words here right now. But this is really fantastic. You could make an excellent seqeul to this. Your character worked so well with Willy in my opinion it wasn't funny. Truly amazing. ^_^

OMG.

BUT THIS IS *BRILLIANT*.

WHERE THE HELL IS THE HUGE INFLOW OF *REVIEWS*?

...the world is indeed unfair. But know that I thought this was amazing (as always) and please, please, please do more fics of this fandom.

Originality and well-written works with just the right touches of everything and a wonderful IC, mad Wonka-- you surely *must* continue!

I found the link to this from a bit of fan art on deviantart. And I've got to say this is the most spot on writing of Wilder's Wonka I've had the pleasure to read. I shake you warmly by the hand!

I love how you've explained how the two met, and Loompah Land...it's all so crazy and wonderland-ish, and so very very Wonka. Eddie feels so very much like a real person from the real world, reacting exactly how I think a person from the real world would.

It's funny, because I've broken into abandoned buildings before, and the thought of entering one and being confronted by a character like Wonka...well, I guess it just makes the story more personal, having snuck into places that are abandoned, but always wondering what if there is someone still in there and what if I run into something that isn't quite right while inside. Man, the next time I do a run into an abandoned mental asylum, rest assure your story will be lodged in the back of my mind!

Overall, very trippy, deliciously frightening in how you've portrayed the break in and Wonka, and very WONDERFUL how you've made it those two movie plot bunnies work.

I sincerely hope you continue writing, because I'll be sure to keep an eye on your ff.n account!

That was awesome.

I loved Wilder's version of Willy Wonka more than Depp's, so it's nice to see more fics with him in it.

I really like the way you wrote this story. It has a really intrigueing atmosphere and I enjoyed it very much. It's unlike any Wonka story I read out there and your discription of Wonka is different as well, which is really nice and refreshing. Thanks for writing such a wonderful story. :)

I think this is your best Wonka story yet. Maybe it's because I have a fondness for Gene Wilder, and you have captured his speech patterns so well; maybe it's because I find Wonka's manipulative madness endearing; I don't know. But it's good, Miss TeriyakiKat, it's very good.

I think I'll have to re-read this before I can get its full measure, but I have to say, it's wonderfully written. The characterisation is brilliant, the dialogue pieces together perfectly.

As for regional vocab, Roald Dahl probably based it in England, but the movies are based in America. So feel free to write what you know. (I converted flashlight to torch in my head and had them speaking in British accents anyway) :)
