I remember reading this when the movie first came out and loving it. I really like the new version too but can you also post the original as well if you still have it? I loved everything about it and it would be wonderful to read it again.

I loved this story, except for the ending.
You never told us what the surprise Erik had for Sophia was, or if Sabine agreed to marry her brother.
I would write a short epiloge if I were you, just to clear up the details.

oh my! im speachless seriously, okay i decided to only review once i finished the last published chapter but ive been reading all the 130 chapters for the last 3 days and wow, this deserves to be published! im so impressed, such a lovely story and so dramatic, sometimes i completely forgot erik had been the phantom and sophia, wonderfull character, humph wow i just dont know how to express my thoughts lol amazing keep it up and the last chapter was absolute bliss! plz continue and post soon cant wait to see them married and the wedding night hehehehe

How surprising and utterly welcome that you've posted another 'Paladin' chapter! Though I haven't forgotten, I have certainly missed the sweet, tender, and still chaste romance between angsty Belmont and innocent (but less innocent than before that anatomy book) Sophia. This is a moment of pure pleasure for these characters as they aren't being interrupted by meddlesome brothers, grumpy old friends, ornery servants, or even the ever fun and frisky Fidelio! They are just happy, together, and expressing their emotions for each other freely and truly.

I enjoyed how Erik thought of Sophia as an instrument, one he wanted to master even though its sounds were still new and unknown to him. You are an expert at keeping the sexual tension bubbling beneath the surface in this story... bubbling so much, I do believe they are going to explode once they do the deed! I was also glad we get to see Sophia gently teasing Erik as that was always a highlight in this story. Their banter was delightful to read as they gave each other celestial gifts and confessed their love.

This was a wonderful reminder of what great romance can be and I hope that when you have more time... you do gives these two a fitting marriage, wedding night, and maybe even some happiness beyond that. In the meantime... I guess I'll have to amuse myself with your original works, which I can attest are quite satisfying in their own right.

Oh you tease -- how you torment us!! Are you a mind reader? About once a week I contemplate (seriously!) ... what would Monsieur Belmont's wedding night have been like? sigh...then I find this captivating tidbit -- mercy, it's too wonderful...but not enough! ... and darn it, I want more!

AW! That was very tender and sweet! Sophia is so impatient for her surprise, she cracks me up - like a little girl waiting for a present. It's so good to get an update to this wonderful story.
