I thought Mary Sue was Sakura from CLAMP. Brown hair, green eyes, quarterstaff, Kero (small animal, four legs two wings). Oh well, shows how bad I am at IDing anime characters in fanfics...

But... XD Awesome! I'd have to say that having only one set of characters was disappointing. I mean, Kirk chatting idly with Happosai as Scully and Akane talk about their respective pairings? That would have been awesome!

HOWEVER! This was a very well written fanfic. Two thumbs two toes up, Trimatter.

Ha, this was so awesome. I don't normally read anything this old, but I found a link to it somewhere in a forum (don't remember which one now) and decided that I HAD to read it.

Been guilty of some of these no-no's a few times myself, but I don't generally post those. Hehe. I'm gonna be laughing for a while over this one.

Hahaha, I haven't seen something in this area of fandom this entertaining since I read "Scenes from the Cutting Room Floor" by Debora Goldsmith.

An excellent romp into the unknown or not wanted to be known. I found it quite refreshing. I will have to take these points into consideration when making my own. You should have pointed out that Saffron is not normally a psychotic maniac, it is that his maturation process was cut short, thus, his mind was kinda shattered. Many people seem to forget this.

This story is awesome and perfect. I gotta admit that I've been guilty of a few of these at one time or another, especially in the first fic I tried to write (not having read the manga yet). What website were you talking about in the beginning? edited out the link.

I agree with you 100% with everything you've written and am IMMENSELY THANKFUL that you pointed out the injustice's done to Ryoga, Kasumi and ESPECIALLY Akane and the AUDACITY of what's been going on with Nabiki and Ranma and *cringes* Mary Sue's.

I'd applaud you if I was able to, give yourself a reward, you damn well deserve it for being such a decent, straightforward person. Ignore any flames, if any dare, you're perfectly right to put this up.

P.S: Just wondering, have you noticed that there also seem to be quite a few Soun-hate and Genma-hate fics going around? I mean I know those two are quiet silly at times if not idiotic, but really, writing about schemes to take away rightful inheritances, letting Ryoga 'defile' Akane (even though we all know he closes his eyes) and going out to _murder_ people seems to be going a bit too far. I was really upset when I read it in a few fics by come fo my favourite authors. Just wondering that if you noticed you could post a bit in there, I really don't like people mistreating Soun so much; I know he's a cry baby but he's an innocent cry baby,
And while Genma's character is a little...well not-exactly-honourable he most certainly isn't a plotter and cold-hearted murderer!

I thought it was very funny how Genma came off as an intellectual and how Kasumi had more of a attitude then in the series.
You show very nicely how a character can get labeled as something and the label sticks with them whether its true or not.
The best way to use a character is to show how they develop and change while trying to keep the original concept of them intact.

Overall, a great piece of work. Keep up the good job! :-)
