| Nienna Telrunya 2007-08-01 ch 3, | abuse[insert kind words here]. But really, very much enjoying, and I very much hope you decide to continue . . . at least with another two chapters are so. |
| sodapop0006 2006-05-10 ch 3, | abuseThis is good! :) I like having a filler bit to add to the movie, and I think that you hit Wonka's ... awkwardness ... right on the nose, as it were. :) The inner dialogue is quite fun and I was surprised and pleased that you did it for Wonka Sr. as well. It's a different spin, but quite enjoyable. Would love to see more on this, if you're up to it. Cheers! |
| Xiilnek 2006-04-09 ch 3, | abuseSorry, I can't really give you any constructive whosawhatsit; I believe that this whole story, the way it's written, all that stuff, is wonderful. The characterization (sp?)is simply amazing; exactly the characters from the movie, spot on. The last sentance of this chapter is particularly poignant, because I did not realize just how painful his feelings about that were until I was startled into thinking about it. (This goes on my 'story alert' list. I really look foward to the next chapter.) |
| Piscaria 2006-01-02 ch 3, | abuseI completely adored this story! Your characterization was perfect. I think, in fact, that you've written the most realistic Dr. Wonka I've ever seen. And I loved all of the little details, especially the Splenda and Wonka worrying about the house being unsanitary. I really hope you plan on continuing this. |
| reibish 2005-11-08 ch 3, | abuseHey hey hey...I know you posted this story months ago but, hey...I read it and decided it was worth a review! Okay so as you know, it's an awesome story. I won't get any deeper, other than to say I thought you kept the characters almost flawlessly perfect. Willy's epiphany with Dr. Wonka reminded me muchly of the scene in which Willy realizes Charlie's the winner, especially since Willy had been especially perturbed and in a half-sour mood just moments prior to naming Charlie his heir. I won't gush anymore, although I could for hours! ~:D Now, constructive criticism...the transition between the first chapter and second seemed a bit rough. I hadn't realized (probably from not paying attention) that the story had actually backtracked to earlier in the day until Charlie walked out of Dr Wonka's house. That's about it. ~:) |
| HoVis 2005-08-21 ch 3, | abuseI love the line 'this was going to hurt'. Poor old Mr Wonka... nutty as a fruitcake, but who doesn't like fruitcake? HoVis |
| HoVis 2005-08-21 ch 2, | abuseWow. Creepily enough this chapter pretty much fitted with the thoughts that went through my head after seeing the film: about Dr Wonka maybe thinking Charlie was Mr Wonka's son, and about Willy himself being still no older than he had been when he'd left his Dad's home... great story! I'm now going on to read the rest... tara! HoVis |
| Marcie Gore 2005-08-16 ch 3, | abuseVERY GOOD :} |
| Marcie Gore 2005-08-16 ch 2, | abuseVERY GoOd so far! |
| The Umbrella 2005-08-16 ch 3, | abuseI really like this story. Hope it continues soon :D Ash |
| Telanu 2005-08-16 ch 3, | abuseThis is fantastic. I love the Splenda jokes, the talk with Dr Wonka, and the fact that Willy's not all that enthusiastic about moving the Buckets in. Given what we're shown in the movie, it makes perfect sense. I'm eagerly awaiting the next part! That apology ought to be something. |
| Quietly Making Noise 2005-08-16 ch 3, | abuseOn a Spirited Away note, I just realised Haku's haircut resembles Wonka's... Anyhoo, I love this. Especially the germophobe-latex-gloves bit. And the raspberry weasels! *Giggles* I think the appropiate impersonation here is: "Wow!" |
| pucktofaerie 2005-08-15 ch 3, | abuseHehe...apologizes hurt. I love that next to the last line--to all of them? Charlie certainly does have a lot of family, when one thinks about it. Can't wait to see how that turns out. I'm betting on lots of snide remarks by Grandpa George! (I love him!) Who is, BTW, Mrs.Bucket's father, not Mr. Bucket. Many people seem to have this misconception, because Mr.Bucket calls him "Pops" in the movie. But that's just cause he's his father-in-law, and many close in-laws refer to each other in such terms. Anywho, that's how it lays out according to Dahl. (I just hate to see people make that mistake.) Hehe, will Mr. Bucket have to cover Charlie's ears again? I love that part of the movie...oh gosh, I'm rambling. Anywho, can't wait to see what's next. Keep up the great work and update soon! (And go read and review my Charlie and the Chocolate Factory fic if you haven't already! Please and thank you!) |
| The Lady of Light 2005-08-14 ch 2, anon. | abuseVery nice. Mr. Wonka- both I might add- I feel are in character for the movie and wonderful. Heh. I like the fact that Willy wouldn't have liked Splenda. That's clever. ~The Lady of Light~ |
| Sherrrry 2005-08-14 ch 2, | abuseI like your story. Can hardly wait for future chapters! |
