It has Sydney and Miss Parker emotional attachment, Parker aiding and abetting for Sydney's sake, and you even snuck in a Jarod/Sydney interaction. I don't know how you managed to get all that into such a short piece, but you did it. It didn't even feel like it was rushed. Well done.

Sort of wish you'd made the conflict between J & MP a little less concrete, but that just might be me. The "climactic moment" is well-plotted and well-executed. Potential readers- be sure to check out "Wet Pavement" first (though as the author says, this story *can* stand alone). Both are definitely worth reading (and I am a *harsh* critic, so I only review when I can recommend).
