hmm. depressing, i'm not going to lie. however, real life can be like that. you've really brought a three dimensional quality to the characters.

Obviously, Dmitri was sent to shut them all down. One has to weonder if he chose Daria (and Jane to get her) because of Melody Powers. You can never tell..

The plot is certainly *sui generis*. Nonetheless, I found it intriguing and look forward to subsequent chapters.
