I hate cliffies, but doesn't every writter/reader? well I can't wait to see what take you do with the whole amuse mentpark thing. I went to disney in 8th grade, so thats where that poped into my head. I'm also amazed at your bravness of openly talking about your CP and out admiting that you suffer from mild CP. Its rare most use two crutches or a manua/power wheelchair, so thats why I made the comment. Also I can speak from personl experances as well. My CP is a little more severe then yours. I wonder if you get the trimmers like I do or if its just constent tention. As for falling, I can't let myself fall because I've delveliped a joint disorder on top of it, my knee is constently inflaimed, like right now as I type this review I can't bend or strengn the knee because my thi mucles are locked. George says full moons ten to make me feel worse. it also feels kinda funkey to have my leg slightly bent and at an angel locked like when I was in my wheelchair. Maybe you should have mentioned why she doesn't use a nanula wheelchair, that would make her more independant. (well for a sighted person) as for me, I'm blind, so I guess it wouldn't matter I have a manual one though. but then again mine is more severe then yours.
your first chapter is really short, and could stand to be a little longer, also it seemed like you rushed through things. Also in this you have her using one crutch, when she should have at least two, or be in a wheelchair for something like school. I myself suffer from the same type of CP, but only slightly different. My right side is effected more then my left, thus why I don't use crutches, I've tried using walkers, but its not very easy, espically when George (my boyfriend) forgets to vacamue the carpet. I'd like to see how you handle this, o and see what occours when she has to travle long distances. Such as a class field trip, or a trip to an amusment park, or even more or less, getting through school.
I'm also interested to see what approach you take with the story. For example, are you planning to start with the "helpless" approach where some people fall all over themselves to help her, or are you going to just go strictly for the "avoidance" approach? Can't wait to see how you handle this.
