edea and seifers relationship was something I always wondered about, was it mother/son child/adult or some form of romantic love. I love your take on it, they way you capture Edea is amazing, and really well written. I'm so adding it to my favs.

That was pretty damn near perfect.I always thought that Seifer/Edea was a compelling not to mention kinky pairing, and this is good.I also cannot understand why people do not get this.Come on, people.Okay, you're possessed, you've got yourself a stunningly hot brainwashed slave.Whaddaya do, teach him to knit?
Well, I sure as hell wouldn't.
And that last line is a killer. Someone directed me to your stuff via a review, and well, it's eleven and I have to be up at six, but who needs sleep, after all?

I read this ages ago, but I don't seem to have reviewed. *smacks head* Bad me.

I don't understand why some other reviewers are confused with this story. Maybe they don't want to understand. It's very clear to me, maybe because I was thinking along the same lines.

The writing is painful to read yet all too beautiful, and there was an mix of guilt, horror, and longing was absorbing and realistic. Edea probably *wants* her dream to be a nightmare, yet it isn't. The events of the war have left their indelible marks upon her, and one wonders if she will ever be free. The final sentence sent a thrill through me at the perfectly balanced structure of the story, and a shudder at the terrible irony of their relationship.

The nature of the relationship between Edea and Seifer has always been vague to me. Are they mother and son in the emotional sense? Was she simply his benefactress and he her charge? Were they Sorceress and Knight? But Edea already had a knight, and Seifer never really served her, the true Edea. The relationship between Sorceress and Knight seems to be romantic, if we take the examples of Edea and Cid, or Rinoa and Squall. Was it like that with the possessed Edea and Seifer? These are just a few of the ambiguities surrounding them. You've captured that vagueness in a way no one else could, in few words but with a world of meaning.

Am I too late to review? Anyway, I loved this story. It's pretty controversial, since Edea is the closest to a mother Seifer ever had. You captured the dawning horror of Ultimecia's mind control (so I think) very well.

I didn't quite get this...I'm guessing that it has something to do with Edea getting taken over by Ultimecia. Still, it was quite well written and very creepy. Hmmm....having a hard time trying to think of what else to say....er...hmm...Woozle Wazzle. Yeah.

As confused as that made me.....that was horrifyingly good, Z. I'm adding it to my favorites. :D

All I'm gonna say is you are some kind of great writer and should have a promising career ahead of you if you choose and continue to improve in the leaps and bounds you have been. Terrifically written, upleasantly so.
