Videl! OMG, yay. :) That was a total surprise cameo! I think she’s going to be an amazing contribution to the story! Not sure how big of a role you’re going to assign her, but I’m so intrigued to see how she’ll get involved, and, more excitedly, how she’ll interact with Gohan. ^.^ I mean, I’m SURE if you are bringing her into the story she’s going to eventually meet up with him, so yay, I can’t wait to see what’s gonna go down! ^^ Haha, I loved this line: “And if anyone said it was because she was a girl, then she’d gladly slam them into the ground!” It’s so Videl! XD Hercule’s going to freak to see her in the same vicinity of Cell…it’s gonna be cool to see how the two fathers react differently to their children being in/near the big battle. Ack, what did I just do, jump ahead a ton of chapters in my giddy anticipations? @_@ Probably many…or maybe not…you build up this story SO well. I’m getting so excited about things that are WAY off in the future! Way to capture your readers. ;)

AHH! And Cell is here! Another cameo (well, not really…). But crap, he’s found the Androids. You wrote that battle so well—my head was spinning from the flurry of action! Haha, good for you, 18, expecting another weak battle and then getting the surprise of her life! Cell had to pick quite an inconvenient time to show up, huh? DBZ is always like that. :P It’s amazing what you do with everyone’s emotions because one moment I go from rooting against 18 (of course) to then feeling sorry for her just with this one sentence: “She had been damned into this Android existence but for now, she would use it to get back the one thing that kept her stable, her one remaining rock in this hell of a world.” Awesome!

AND DUDE! The imaginary half of Schizophrenic!Gohan is a real, live, breathing thing? @_@ Well, maybe? AHH! That’s spooky creepy! Haha, Gohan totally shocked his imaginary half (?!?!?!?) real good, didn’t he? I loved how the thing just froze and then was able to be struck like that. My eyes just went wide. Total twist to the whole Schizophrenic!Gohan ordeal! If I were Gohan, I’d be terrified! But he’s not, he’s just mad and frustrated and confused, which is very Gohan-like. I CANNOT wait to find out who/what this really is! You’ve got some major questions to answer real soon! ;) I wanna see Goku really get involved with this whole issue, as well. Either Gohan has stumbled onto something…or he’s really losing his mind in the HTC! Hmm…I could see it going either way…

Yaay,update! and about time,but now im MORE hooked to this Fic!

Okay, I think it's about time I did a review for this story.

I took the time to read the other story before I read this so that I could get the "overall" picture. Got to tell you, I loved that story "When Somebody Loves You". I mean, there was such raw passion in that story. I seriously almost cried every chapter because I wasn't sure in what kind of direction you were taking the story and there was the possibility that Gohan could have died. Seriously, it was a very well received story that brought about the dawning of the super saiyan within Gohan. Wouldn't have want it any other way.

Now for this story/chapter...

Obviously this fic is going to be way longer and it might be awhile before it's ever completed, but I am patient. Even though I figure this fic is mainly about Gohan's will to become stronger yet facing his insecurities about his true strength, but I just adore how you shift the plot around to other characters as well. Not to mention bringing back long forgotten characters that wouldn't otherwise have so much as a 30 sec cameo in the series later on. To top it off, Trunks have a bit of screen time in the script and that makes me very happy. Mainly, 'cuz Trunks is my second fav character in the series.

Come to think of it, it's kind of a parallel thing between Trunks and Gohan. They both try so hard to impress their fathers (who are full blooded saiyans) only with different results or origins. It's like they both have a lot to live up to, and in their perspective timelines they both have to carry on the role as protectors of the earth. I guess that's why they are both my fav, because they go through so much hardships just to get to where they desire to be. Unfortunately, Gohan was the one who ended up with the more happy ending. Not to mention, the original connection between Gohan and Trunks was that Gohan was like a father figure to Trunks. I'm pretty sure that Trunks adored Gohan a lot, but I'm not sure if it's even on the level that Gohan adores his own father. And yet, when Trunks goes to the past, it's like the situation reverses itself because now Trunks is the older one looking out for Gohan (more indirectly). Unfortunately, Gohan doesn't seem to reciprocate the feelings that Trunks had for his future self, mainly 'cuz Gohan doesn't need to depend on Trunks. *sigh* Okay, just wanted to get that out of the way. I just thought that as an interesting sort of comparison...parallel...thing. Something.

Anyway, I didn't expect Videl to take in any part of this fic and I am quite thrill about it. I always wondered what it would be like if Gohan would of somewhere met Videl when they were younger. 'Specially since Gohan had already met Hercule. But, if that's not the direction you were heading for, then I'm okay with that. I just like to see what kind of mischief Videl will get herself into and what she ultimately really thinks of the Cell Games fight since they only briefly touch on that in the series. Well, that is if there really is going to be one.

I loved the Trunks/18 fight. It was really good. In the series, Trunks and Vegeta never had their chance to take on the androids as soon as they left the hyperbolic time chamber. However, the fact that both Trunks and Vegeta were able to take on Cell after he absorbed Android 17 is evidence enough that they would have definitely been able to take on the androids themselves had that not happen. But I just love it how while you're so caught up in the battle, it really did seem as if Cell just came from nowhere and with it you just get this since of anticipation as to what will happen next? What sort of movements should be taken into consideration next? Trunks may want to take his revenge on the androids, but he is no fool. Will he just gape and watch as Cell gains insurmountable power? Or should he push his past behind him and try (as hard as it may be) to help the androids and save them? And Vegeta? I wonder just how far you are willing to take his ignorance of more challenging powerful opponents? Can he possibly be that stupid twice? And 16 can't possibly just sit around and watch his two companions get swallowed up by a green monster. Or can he? I have no idea just how much relation to the series you will make this fic, but I'm up for surprising outcomes.

As for Piccolo...I think it makes more sense to have Trunks and Vegeta be the ones to confront the androids rather than Piccolo and later Tien. Although, Piccolo was a lot stronger after fusing with Kami, it just seemed somewhat misplaced that he just so happen to be conveniently sitting on Roshi's Island doing nothing else to strengthen his power. But as far as fusing with Kami goes, I'm surprised that he's yet to do it. Yet, I somehow understand that it would take him and Kami this long to come up with a conclusion. Neither one can stand the other even though they are less hostile towards each other. And if it can be avoided, then they would. No doubts about that. But I wander what the final outcome will be.

Glad to see that Gohan is taking his training seriously. Seriously, I have to admit that I am VERY curious about this inner-Gohan. At first, I thought Gohan was just getting visions of his future self warning him of the dangers of him not trying harder to get stronger. Then I thought that it may be some repressed emotional part of Gohan trying to awaken, urging him to get stronger so that it could come out. Especially since it spent most of it's time tormenting Gohan while he was training with his father. But now to find out that this "sprit" is actually physical? Never mind the blood. The fact that Gohan was able to hit him was proof enough. The question is; however, if this person is really a physical being, then how is it that he's able to enter Gohan's mind and why is it that Goku was never able to see him nor sense his ki especially back when Gohan was attacking him wildly because he thought he was really fighting his "inner-self"? Well, I can understand that he never comes around whenever Gohan's with Goku and now I understand why he never goes anywhere beyond the training grounds of the room, but I still don't get how Goku could never sense that someone else is around. Not to mention, how this being is able to be inside the hyperbolic time chamber with them when only two people are allowed in at a time. It's highly, mysterious and I can't wait until all these questions are answered. But I have an idea of who he is. I mean, I'm confident that it is Gohan without a doubt. Just not what the young Gohan originally thought he was. But I have a feeling that it relates to Trunks (indirectly or directly), but more the fact that it relates to Trunks' "special" characteristics and not him or his circumstances.

Anyway, that's all I really wanted to say. Although, it was a lot of what to say. Sorry for the really long review. ^ ^; I really enjoy this story and am looking forward to the next chapter.

Whoa. Then just who or what is the older Gohan? I'm kind of confused but oh well.
Everything else was cool too but I'm more focused on Gohan, him being my ultimate favorite and all.

I hope you update soon. I am curious to know what the 'hidden power' now is. Gohan is right. Ki and spirits can't bleed; they don't have a body or a heart. I like how you put Videl in the story, but I hope she doesn't meet Gohan till she is older. Please don't leave us hanging!

Love It! Great chapter. Good fight between Trunks and Eighteen. Love the last scene about Gohan. You ended it in a sort of cliffy and now I'm going crazy! Please update very soon, though I know it's impossible to update very very soon. Still please hurry.

All right! Go Chi-Chi! What an awesome way to end the chapter! Give Chi-Chi some MAD PROPS. It’s about time she “snapped” and decided to take matters into her own hands. What the heck is she going to try to attempt? I commend her for her fiery will and determination to protect her husband and son, but…Chi-Chi, are you nuts?! LOL You might be scary to a lot of people, but I hardly think you will make the androids even FLINCH. Ah well…thumbs-up to her, but geez…after what happened to the Ox King…how can I not fear for her? Speaking of which…holy crap. That’s all I have to say about the Ox King’s death. @_@ Actually, nah, that’s just a summary statement…I have to say that I was very impressed with the way you described his battle with Twenty-One. You did a great job in relating his inner feelings as he battled her, especially his confusion. I had to admit I figured he was going to die—he put up a valiant battle, but in the end he truly was no match for her. :( OMG, how in the world is Gohan going to react to this? I like how Twenty-One has a pocketful of “goodies” she will eventually show Gohan…eep, it’s such a heart-twisting notion…I shiver at the thought. It’s going to be so hard for him…but how he will respond will no doubt be mind-blowing. ^^ I’m excited about it, as much as I fear for poor little Gohan’s broken heart. I love how you visited almost all the characters in this chapter, gave us an update on what’s going on. I TOTALLY got a kick out of how Gohan wants Goku to view him as a teenager. Not yet, kiddo! He might have the intelligence of one, but he still has a lot of developing to go before he can get to that stage. It was also a hoot how he was encouraging Goku to admit he Gohan was going crazy. I hope both will be able to figure out how to handle the situation soon and use it to their advantage, not the undoing of Gohan’s sanity. :P All in all, great chapter—thank you SO much for updating, I hope the next one comes quick! :D Once again, go Chi-Chi! LOL!
