Love the Dali reference in the title :P I'm not sure if I'm just imagining it, but the link between the painting and Ed's watch sure is cool.

Favorite line:

"I guess somewhere along the way I grew up on me too."

I think all of us can relate in one way or another. One day you're thirteen years old and you're thinking that eighteen is ancient, and then life blindsides you and you wake up to discover that suddenly you're an adult.

One tiny nitpick - the last line seems a little too wordy. I'd take off the "so I can enjoy what I've regained", just for stylistic purposes. Most of the previous writing is very concise, and the clunkiness of the last sentence throws it off a little.
