Hawkes was just plain amazing with the autopsy (I though there was a little hint of hanging out with Sid a little too much). Poor Mac. Relax!. Danny, dumb plan, but I know why you did it so yeah. I can't say how much I absolutely adore Trevor! The kid is so sweet. Lastly, I have to comment on Danny's whole "The kid's five, what does he know about girlfriends" attitude. This made me laugh so hard. I work with little kids and they are often more aware of that kind of thing then people take credit for. LOL. Good chapter, update soon please!

I don't think I've read any fan fiction as good as this in a long time and I have to admit that I'm completely hooked. It's a shame that you've not added any more chapters to this, but I can relate to life getting in the way of writing. I'd really love to read more of this and hope to see more in the future.

Your characterization is dead on and I'm constantly amazed at how realistic, tragic, yet strong little Trevor is. He's almost exactly how I'd picture Danny would be as a little kid! Great job! And Flack's comment about New York traffic just put this at the top of my list!

The big ol' tough New Yorker is such a softie at heart! Very cool story! I'm just worried that somebody's gonna try and "Finish" the job!

And my heart dropped when he started sobbing and not letting go of Danny. Believe me, if this first chapter is any indication, I'm definitely going to be crying very, very soon!

I could picture what was going on easily. You've got good writing skills. I easily forgive long updates as long as updates eventually come. I'm so sick of all the romance tales that've been going down, and your story is quite refreshing. This could - should - totally be an episode. Danny angst rules!
sabrina 2006-01-25 ch 3, anon.	abuseI wasn't real sure when I first started reading this, mainly because that is probably my least favorite episode of CSI:NY but the more I read it, the more I'm pulled into this story. I can't wait for the next update. And this was a really excellent chapter, BTW.
