Oh, yes. Zabel must have something pretty devious planned for Lei-Lei. I never knew until after reading this that I want Zabel to cause as much bodily harm to Lei-Lei as possible. (Yes, I have problems.) Even if you don’t have Zabel actually kill her, at least have him take one of her eyes out! Preferably the left one. I want blood damn it. Besides, I’m pretty sure she could go around with an eye patch. Eye patches are sexy, at least that’s what I’m a told. Anyways, great story. I can’t wait until the next one. You have a great talent for writing, man. Kudos to you.

Although I never considered Donovan to be *that* strong, it makes sense that he could only tie against Pyron rather than solidly beat him.

Anywhoo... I suspect that Pyron won't be taken out so easily, after all, you're staying almost completely true to the story, only adding things to clarify orignal plot points that were never fully explained in a way that isn't confusing. That means Demitri will land the final blow or just be there to pick up the pieces , depending on how you look at it. And since you already stated you're going to throw Dee into the mix, that means Donovan won't get killed either.

Unless you're going to jump straight into the Jedah story arc, which could happen...

*whistles*

Just wondering, by the way, if you're going to go by Vampire Hunter Donovan's storyline (where he loses his humanity as Anita gets hers back), deal with Vampire Savior Donovan's storyling (where he is protecting Anita from Jedah), some mix of both, or neither of them.

That's one problem with Darkstalkers... you never can really figure out which endings are canon until you see the next game in the series or Capcom actually comments on them... neither of which they're doing now.

Since both reviews so far for Chapter 7 have made a reference to Zabel's taunt, "Hey sunshine! Yer my **!", I thought I might post the backstory on it here.

During a more transient part of my life, I briefly knew a young "thugabe" who told me that with my pretty boy features I better never end up in prison, because that'd be the first thing I'd hear. The line amused me so much that I never forgot it, and so when it came time to give Zabel a quip to throw Pyron's way, that was the first thing that came to mind.

Best line EVER: “Hey, Sunshine! Yer my **!”

I don't know why, but I just love that line.

Although I know some people don't like the whole Gallon/Felicia thing, since it isn't really canon *cough*NIGHTMAN!*cough* I really don't have a problem with it.

Then again, when I'm planning a ViceXShingo relationship in my King of Fighters fanfic, I don't have a problem with artistic license, even if I always though Felicia would go after Blanka first...
