Night Silver's whisper
2008-03-17 . chapter 1
Man, that was depressing, but however, beautiful. Your style is intricate and it has earned my admiration. I'll have you know, I am along for the ride for the rest of your works.

The way you portrayed the Dragon Lord's pain, although you touched upon it very lightly, was painful to read. You wrote it so deeply, in such a raw fashion...

I highly worry the Dragon Lord "might" not be around until the end of the last book. (26) It worries me, because he is my favorite.

Here, in your story, I don't know why, but I got the feeling it had an "After the war" touch to it, even though you mentioned a couple times that it was "during." It seemed like it was After. Therefore, I hope that however dying he is, I hope like in your tale, the Dragon Lord lives through the last book.

"You never told me what you were looking for…you broke your promise. He clenched his teeth in anger."-I like how he tries to hide his hurt and pain by being angry and blaming Kaistern.

“Kaistern. Kaistern gave his life to you. He loved you. I used the power of the Wind Staff and Kaistern’s lifeforce to bring you back.”-Aww! I love Cesia Rath pairings. (That's about all I remember from the seris. Wasn't Kaistern the king? I can't quite rememeber)
-Oh, Blue Dragon officer. Heh-

“…Why am I crying? Demons don’t feel pain. Monsters aren’t supposed to cry!”-Aww-so sad! So Sweet!

" One might say the once happy go-lucky Fire Knight looked like a small child wrapped in his oversize blanket and wandering down the halls in his pajamas. In a way, he felt somewhat like a child; lost and not quite understanding what he was feeling."-that is such a sweet image!

That was so touching, and sad, how Rath goew to Kaistern's room, only to curl up in the bed like a frightened child waiting for his parents to come back and comfort him.

"If this is how Alfeegi felt whenever I left, I see why he always worried"-I like this little bit of understanding. Lykouleon's reminising of the Blue and White Dragon officers was really touching.

“YOU GAVE ME THIS HEART!” he yelled at the door, not caring who heard. “WHY! To teach me this immeasurable pain…” His head fell to his chest, tears dotting the corners of his eyes. “I never wanted it…none of it.”

I love how fatherly Lykouleon was being to Rath, and feel so bad for Rath that he is so hurt he can't even trust that people love him.

This was really well written, a nice and bitter-sweet ficlet.

Bye! (I'll try and watch Loki tonight)

Very sad, albeit well written.
