I'm very glad I found this fic. Troy is one of my favorite characters. I don't SHIP Troy/Helmut, but I can see how it can be made to work. You did a wonderful job and you put in some very sweet moments! Keep up the good work!

I like Helmut, so when I found this, I was ecstatic. Now that I think about it, this pairing is pretty possible as both of them were Kooluk once. And as far as the story goes, everything seems possible too.

The first word that comes to mind is "pleasant". This story is very calming--why do I suspect you had the image of a tide brushing against a shore going through your mind as you structured the piece? It's understated and elegant, more like a painting than prose for all the subtext. I enjoyed this a lot and would like to see you carry this style elsewhere!
