loved your story! are you gonna update it?!

That was a sweet story.
I liked the fact that it wasn't so much focused on 'jim the cop', but 'jim the person'.

I have to say that so far, ALL of the BJ stories I have read explain what it is like to be a blind person so well.
I don't know how you guys do it, but bravo!

This was excellently, breezily written. It was realistic and believable, but didn't belabor the details which were, instead, comfortably and cleanly woven in to the writing. My husband and I really enjoyed this show when it was on for the character work and acting, but the writing (especially on the cop-shop plot) always made us cringe, and yours never once made me do so.

You captured the characters' voices perfectly, captured the light humor and sarcastic but playful teasing that was central to these characters, and slowly but believably molded especially Marty's shift in character and relationship so it fit with the character we saw and never felt forced.

I'm very, very impressed; I almost never see a "and they had twin babies and lived happily ever after" plot that doesn't feel shoehorned into the source material...and this doesn't at all.

Thank you for the time you put into this and for sharing your deft skill in writing sensitive and emotional material while maintaining the distance and tension of the characters in addressing that material. Well done.

Congratulations; this was a beautiful piece of work. Terrific effort - your writing is to be commended. My only suggestion is that perhaps you could have considered writing it in 1st-person, from Jim's point-of-view. You've achieved it well in 3rd-person, but in my opinion 1st-person could have made this story all the more stronger.
Again, a commendable effort. I look forward to reading more from you.

Anyway, another great chapter. I like how you are closer all the little loose ends in the Dunbars lives. Anne Donnelly is that sticky loose end that was always there to trip up the healing in Jim and Christie's life. YOu have given the affair a gentle closing where no one gets hurt. Oh, if only life were that good.
I can see this story wrapping up soon and as much as I will be glad to see how you do it, I will also be a little sad. I have come to like the world you are building and home you return to it again.

Thanks for updating!! you´ve made me wait a whole month for a new chapter, but it was worth the waiting. I really enjoy this story, you´ve captured the essence of the characters and it´s good you are taking them forward as they were not given a chance in the TV show.

I have said it before and I will say it again, absolutely gorgeous! This story has drawn me in from the very first paragraph and has never let me go - I so eagerly await and anticipate the alert from FanFic that another chapter has been posted!

You write with such ease, such an incredible flow. I admire your ability to so neatly tie the laces and bind every aspect of the characters, the lives, the little pieces that were left undone, together. You are a writer - no doubt about it!
