Ahh, this is really a beautiful and befitting closure to what happened in episode 45. Even though they tried to make up for it in Final Plus, I wonder if it might have made more sense to have just left it as it was in 45, because Athrun seemed to understand that this was what they both had to do for the time being, and it wasn't like she was ending their relationship.

You know, your story make sense at all. I really like it because ATHRUN AND CAGALLI end up together! I really wish you could make more of this kind of stories because I even print your stories and read it, read it and again and again. but this story(Paths to a Dream) I MOSTLY like because maybe your right, I just really hope it would come true, because I really like athrun and cagalli end up together. I hope that athrun would NEVER end up with other girls like meer, luna, and most especially meyrin! Sorry I didn't review earlier. I've read this over like a thousand times now! It's one of the best things I've ever read in my entire life and I think it ends perfectly with the Gundam SEED Destiny ending. I never thought about Athrun and Cagalli's relationship that way until I came across this story. I was mad and disappointed when I saw the ending for GSD because they didn't put AsuCaga back together but reading this fanfic made me think differently about the ending and what might happen after it. Thank you for writing this story!

As a heartbroken asucaga fan (have you heard about Morosawa's interview) this fic was just what I needed...and I can never get enough closure. Because Cagalli didn't dump him-- she was just making the right choice, and doing what she was supposed to do, as did he.
