I like the interaction between Holmes and Doyle, though more detail would have been nice. Her death is somewhat of a mystery... I haven't read all the books yet... hopefully her death is a product of your imagination. I do agree that Holmes' reaction to his wife's death my be somewhere along those lines... but perhaps returning to old vices(ie. cocaine, etc.)?

Nice fic. The portrayal of tiring from condolences is easy to relate to...

shall i snovel some comment about keeping one's attic clean? i think, now that i think, that i'm an anon. hit count for several others of yours which i have enjoyed, though a wee bit distracted by, deep breath, by the bi. i'll be sure to shoot myself for that, but when i'm finished. berlinesque was. i don't supposed you'd care to, to humour a three quarters deranged girl with a stab at a scenario where perils are endured and the value of the relationship felt? i will add that i enjoyed the weary wryness of your note. if you'll excuse me i have six novels to go read, all at once, no, not seriously, and none of them are locked rooms, cruel world.

Unfortunately I'm not in that fandom (although I think I really ought to join), but I enjoyed this all the same. Very well done...gah, I love Sherlock Holmes.
