Miz, I can't believe I missed this story back in 2005. I wonder where I was. I love Lulu! She is a wonderful, breezy, yet deep and strong character, written very nicely. I also like the dialogues AND the way Lulu's thoughts are interspersed with them. My fav part of chapter 1 is near the end; the paragraph about why Lulu cares; about captains, that they care so much, their sacrifice. Especially this: They are idealists in a universe that punishes idealists brutally and without mercy, yet they refuse to give up or give in.
Wow! That is wonderfully said and I think describes so nicely the appeal of ST and many of the ST characters. I am looking forward to chapter 2. Molly

You wriote so well I was beginning to think I was reading a top secret medical record that those in the medical field would consider a "HIPPA" violation. Keep up the great work.

That was great. I thorughly enjoyed it. I expected one of their calls to be an invitation to the wedding. LOL

Aw...that was wonderful and ended very sweetly!! Of course, being the hopeless romantic that I am, would've loved to read a bit more about how Chakotay and Kathryn became closer and took their relationship to the next level! LOL

A very well written story. Lulu is an interesting original character, a refreshing break from the usual Mary Sue-sterotypes.

Mizvoy, a really superb story. Loved Lulu, the premise and the execution of this gem.
I would have to agree with DianneB that this and many of your other works are far superior to the so-called professional novels.
Now let's talk about finishing Belle Colony...

Extraordinary story, Mizvoy. Your insights into what might have happened to Janeway and Chakotay after Voyager's return to the Alpha Quadrant have been, IMNSHO, some of the most interesting and complex that I've read - and that includes the pro novels. In fact, since none of the pro novels have ever touched on this "captain's alter ego" thing, I'd say this story is *better* than the pros. Well done. Please use "Lulu" again soon.

Wow! A well-written, well-thought out story with a great narrating character! I am impressed with the way you thought out and verbalized the difference between "Captain" and "Kathryn." Well done.
P.S. It was a little long as one chapter and I caught myself thinking it could be divided into 3 or so chapters, but it's still good like this.
