I'm not sure I agree with Ron's assessment here - Percy, to me, seems like he just longed for approval from _somebody_ and the chance to succeed at the Minsistry was just too tempting. Then his family disapproved, he felt betrayed, and when the truth became clear he was to ashamed to go ask for forgiveness. But that's just my opinion. You gave some good ideas to support yours. I do think that Percy acted a little to mature for a nine-year-old, even for him. Ron will, hopefully, have matured enough by now for this to be accurate! We can hope. |
