Wow. I can't believe I never read this story before. Absolutely poignant and poetic with a sort of off-the-cuff delivery that balances it all out. I LOVE your writing style!

The whole thing is beautifully written and eminently quotable, but these were some of my favorite touches:

-You loomed over Wilson’s crumpled form like a gargoyle projects from the side of a structure, grotesque but undoubtedly human.

-You swear to this day that his lips pressed back, and just as firm, but then again, you never said you loved him.

-Also, her middle name is Marie. [The perfect final sentence of a brilliant paragraph]

good god, i was sobbing my stupid little heart out by the end of this. i loved it. 'Also, her middle name is Marie' - LOVED THIS LINE! but the best line had to be
'He will not be spoiled if you hug him every chance you get because it won’t be difficult to love a son named James' - it made me cry so bad, i loved it. its just so beautiful, and i cant wait for you to make me cry again

What a tremendous outpouring of emotion. Beautifully written and perfectly in-character.

That was really well written, it was very moving and I loved House's denial about crying and being upset, it's very in character. You've got a great writing style.

I've already told you how much I like your work. What I like about this is that it's the complete opposite of a tear jerker. Jerking tears is so boring (to channel John Lydon.)

The second person is hard to pull off, but this is masterful. Excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Ok. You know when you are at live theatre and when a really moving scene ends and the theatre is quiet, then someone stands up and starts to clap and everyone joins in? Well, that is what I felt at the end of this story. Absolutely amazing! You captured House perfectly by writing this in House's third person. Incredible, I hope you write more stories on day. I also want to add, while I loved this story, I don't think you should continue it. This was the perfect, perfect story! Good job!
