There aren't nearly enough Mansfield Park stories on this site and I was quite happy to find this one. I like how you're developing Susan as a character, including her struggle whether to follow Julia's influence or Fanny's guidance. Your style is rather like JA's as well. Please continue this story--I'd love to see how things progress.

Trying to wrap my brain around Julia's heartlessness. She's not really evil - but she is doing evil. I guess she needs to tear people down to her own level. Keep going.

I always liked Fanny but mostly because she had to have backbone to keep standing up for her morals. She's a bit less easy to like with Edmund roped in to sermonize for her. Not her fault I suppose. Susan's charming and Julia and Mr. Yates seem well in character. I like what you've done with Sir Thomas too. And I'm always happy to see more Lady Bertram, she's so beautifully stupid and langorous.

So are Yates and Julia taking Mr. and Miss Crawfords places in this? Great chapter by the way :)

You did a very good job copying JA's style but I have to say that Susan and Julia are way out of character. They're more like P&P's Lydia and Kitty. No offense. It's just constructive critisism
