Wow. You have amazing writing - your descriptions are so vivid, and actually sound like Iroh's voice. This is excellent! I especailly like the last line of the first chapter, and the whole thing with the strategy game. Please add more chapters to this.

Lovely. The way that you set up the wording and the storytelling flows in the same manner as the tone of the original series itself. I enjoyed the way you wrote the parts concerning Zuko's thoughts and all (the brooding temperament that is so heavenly in-character), and the subject itself was unique. No one that I know of yet has written about what happened after Zuko's banishment.

There's only one small error I can find here:

"Why am not in my quarters in the palace?"

I think it should be "Why am I not in my quarters in the palace?"

And, not exactly related to all this but...Iroh! You kept him so in-character! Yay!

Excellent chapter. I love the way you've written the interaction between Zuko and Iroh. Keep up the great work.

This story only proves what a formidable threat Zuko will be once he learns to master his temper. He has a good mind and with his uncle's teaching, he will go far. It's a beautiful story, showing how much potential Zuko had. The conversation with Iroh is so sad, because you can feel how desperate the war has made everyone.

Short and sweet. And very logical. I love it when characters play logic games it makes me feel smart when I can predict their moves. And if I can't... well then I learn something.

Thought this was a one-shot, but happily surprised - this'd make a cool before-Zuko-found-the-Avatar story. You're very very good. Very. (insert more encourangement cause I'm falling asleep) Would love to see more to this story! Toodles.

What an amazing story, it's so well written and so sad. Poor Iroh, he must be so depressed, yet he recognized what a powerful enemy his brother created. I also nearly wept at Zuko's pain, realizing how he lost the crew's respect and feeling so morose.

I like the part from Iroh's perspective, especially how he recognizes Zuko's potential as a great future leader of the Fire Nation. I really do hope Zuko succeeds regaining his throne!
I also noticed that this was your first Avatar fanfic, despite the many other pieces you have written. Great job on it. You caught the characters' hearts and souls.
