In other words, you can stear people in certain ways when supporting them when they try to overcome the fact that they are broken.

To bad that there ain't hand devices that combine a ribbon device with a healing device.
The same could be said about the Za'tarc and the Hara'kesh.
If both sets could be combined, you only need to hand divices.

Now what would be a good one, is that Sam's love of science and wanting to always be well armed on missions, would leed to a different outlook for Taraneh will (s)he tries to alter Sam's outlook.

The main quistion (if you will write another chapter) is how broken Sam is and what Taraneh is thinking about it all.
Heck, Taraneh could not like it because it's really Ba'al that is doing it and thus is helping Sam by turning her thoughts to his/her way of thinking.

Would Taraneh put Sam on the spot in such a way that she could have the freedom of moving her own body for a time, if she act's as Taraneh would act?
This might just be the test Taraneh might use before explaining several technical things to her.
