How sweet! :) Actually, it's far deeper than simply "sweet"--it's great how you write of how love can give hope to the bleakest situation without preaching at all. It was nice to see a different side to the often shorcharged Zell, yet he's right in character from beginning to end. His thoughts are all too real, and so sympathetic. And I loved Zell's banging pots and pans to wake Ma up when he needed to talk to her. That's so quintessentially Zell! :D Zell and the girl's attraction is naturally and realistically handled, and his not finding out her name was a nice ironic touch. What a great story.

Wow. What else can I say? You captured Zell's personality so beautifully. You are truly talented. Good work.

Z - that was wonderful, some parts of it beautiful. I thought you captured Zell completely and added further insight into him. I particuluarly loved all the first part when it was just him - you do that so well. And the last part made me cry - that's tears down the cheek. I'm just a big softie and I have a giant soft spot for Zell anyway. I've been wanting to read this since I first saw your profile page but I was always reading something else of yours instead and I decided today to read it and I certainly wasn't disappointed. This was awesome. Great job.
