I know it’s been a while since this last chapter was posted, but I really hope you’ll read this! I’ve never read/seen Reign of Fire (not sure whether it’s a movie or book), and was hesitant to read your story being unfamiliar with part of the source material, but it was highly recommended so I decided to take a chance. And Oh. My God. I’ve never in my life read such a heartbreakingly beautiful fan work. I just spent the better part of an evening avoiding very real obligations to read this story in one sitting, which I rarely make time to do even for my favorite novelists. I’m quite simply in awe of your talent.
To remain so true to both the real world history and canon characters must have been a huge challenge while writing in such a wholly different universe, but you did so perfectly. It was emotionally exhausting, and kept me on the edge of my seat through the very last sentence, which is (in my opinion) everything a brilliant piece of writing should do. I sincerely hope you have time to continue with a second book (pretty please), and to keep writing in general. Thank you so much for sharing this!

OMG I just read it. I almost don't know what reactions to have first. I mean by that, I know what my reactions *are*. I just almost don't know...how to write about it all!

OK, I'll just start. I am *so relieved* it is not truly over! This story's really just too good to end! It is the biggest *whew!* in the world, but, blended with *omggnailbiting* because we *still* don't know if Jack made it! (And he better. His trick was so clever *that's my Jack! And, the rest of them better make it too *grin*) I love it when the dragon crashed through the glass. Also some other scenes of the attack. It felt almost like I was watching a movie. Well, I know they are both movies. But, I mean a...third, new, movie. If that makes any sense :D

Anyways, when you continue this, I'll be waiting :D

I loved this chapter. Love it. My heart's pounding. I'm gnawing my nails. I noticed, when Jack was running from the fire, it was scary enough. But then! Everything goes quiet...and it got *even* scarier. Oh yes, so good. I hope he gets out of this one. But, with one chapter left I have this sinking feeling...

Holy crow! There better be more after this! That is one evil cliffhanger!

I hope nothing bad happened to Spot, though I know something bad probably happened to the rest of Dave's family...thats so sad. you know this story actually scares me at times...

OMG... I saw it was updated and I was like, yay! and then I saw it said "complete" nd my heart stopped. You can't end it here! Jack can't die, he CAN't! And what happened to Spot? Do we get to find out! Please please say you are continuying this although I guess if there's a Book 1 there has to be a 2 haha *is obvious* but just in case please please anyways.

There isn't another story like this, you made is so full of history and all kinds of specific things and, it isn't just the best crossover it's the best Newsies one I have read EVER. You are an angel for writing this, now please get to the next one haha. Sorry to bug you, I'm just so sad it ended.

Here ENDS? ENDS, ld? You're killing me! And Jack! (Well, I hope not, but...) There had better be a Book Two all plotted out and plans to post. I won't mind if Book Two takes years to get through, by all means take your time (because excellence takes time!), but I am dying to find out what wounded the dragon and drew it away and how Jack survives (Esther trapped/crushed :: David's silence as Jack trapped/hopefully-not-crushed :: David's _?). So. I beg you, update as soon as the words will allow.
