Wow...I don't know what to say (or write for that matter)...

I always wondered what if...when book 7 is out and I would turn out to be wrong about the end, the chance is next to nothing- but.., but then it´s easy. I will put "7" in the shelf and leave it there forever, then, getting myself a nice glass of the elf-made,have a seat, smile and reread "Birdie and Rat". This prospect comforts me for the future, everything will turn out well!

Sorry, too much. You had a good beginning, but it developed into the type of story that I'm not looking for. Just thought that I should tell you so you don't wonder what happened.

I love your rewriting of canon history. :) Great writing in general, really intense and moving. I love Snape being a spider animagus. The dream was awesome. in the earlier chapter, I felt that Snape was too OOC, but it seems better now.

I like the Draco you've portrayed. I hope there is more to him than just arrogant bastard Malfoy spawn in canon. Book 7 will tell. I also like how you ended this chapter. In all, nicely done...I'm really liking this tale you're spinning.

This chapter made me sniffle although the more light-hearted ending made me feel better. Good job. Poor Harry.

I like the argument at the end but my favourite part is the bit about Apparating Paramedics. That was bloody brilliant.

Nice to see Snape being appreciated for a change.

I sometimes wonder whether Draco was hurt worse than JK let on. Just because he made the most of it to annoy Harry and Ron doesn't mean it was all faked. And the report that he sometimes slipped the sling off could simply mean that the pain and muscle weakness was variable rather than constant.

Interesting turn of events though hard to reconcile with Hagrid's inability to keep secrets and Snape's PoA conviction in Sirius's guilt. Did someone obliviate them?

Seriously, Simon is another character that I really like and I think you made some great name choices. Commander Severus Snape? Excuse me while I swoon.

This won't come as a surprise to you but I really like Lucie DeGrace. She is NOT a Mary Sue because she has a flawed past and is refreshingly imperfect.
