Yes, I've heard the song, I like it. I thin kI have it on my hard-drive still. And I have the movie and soundtrack. Too bad/wierd this song isn't *on* the soundtrack.

OH yeah. I must applaud you on the great job you did with this songfic. I usually don't fancy reading/writing songfics, but this one was very well put together (PLUS, you used one of my all time favorite songs for one of my favorite cartoons growing up ^_^ Can't go wrong with that LoL). Little to no grammatical errors, very descriptive, pieced together well, and the ending was very "heartwarming." ^_~

Downside? The bit about Harold and those guys was pretty sad (but at least you paired him up with Patty, which I always thought they make a very cute, complimenting couple). Plus, it's making ME greatly miss MY childhood. Ah well. LoL Later, buck-o! ^_~ *Waves*

i like it, it's so sweet.. and the song by madonna, i love that. i listen to that though not often but i like her classic songs. it's kinda sad that you wrote eugene and harold died but atleast helga and arnold end up together and that she recovered from the accident.

I loved your songfic. I don't know a lot about songs, but your fic has something that is very needed: originality.

I loved to see Arnold going back to the Old Neighborhood, and I think your tale is worth to be told. It's not like romance or adventure, but is very well done and the theme is very good.

I don't think this fic is angsty, if something, conveys nostalgia. I loved it.

The only thing I didn't like were Harold's and Eugene's deaths. Wartz I can believe (he's old), but Harold? And Eugene? Eugene always managed to be Ok...

Anyway, I'm glad Helga and Arnod are well.

It was a good tale, and I will love to see more of your work.

Very good fic! Arnold going through memory lane is just priceless. By the way, it was Arnold's grandma who saved the tree by stealing the bulldozer that was supposed to destroy it (using a Tarzan disguise, by the way).
Very good description of the scenes, and great ending.
