The characterizations are brilliant... I love the concept that Rufus has a Relationship with all of the Turks--and the idea of Kadaj trying to seduce Rufus to Mother like this is just... OMG, so unbelievably HOT...

... this is beyond amazing. I'm surprised that it only has thirteen reviews minus my own. I kept forgetting to breathe as I read this. Your description of the Seikon's progression is gripping, and how you portray the interaction of Rufus and his Turks is simply stunning. I'm not sure if I even have a favorite part, but if there was one, it would have to be the whole Kadaj section.

That gave me chills, and I rarely get chills like that when I'm reading something. A haunting echo of Sephiroth... speaking of which, you make Kadaj as creepy as I believe him to be. I think we only got glimpses of just how much madness there is in him. His obsession with his 'Mother' is one of his more disturbing qualities, especially towards the climax of his little encounter with Rufus.

I loved the relationship you created between our dear young Shinra and Sephiroth. I will never be able to play another game of Go Fish without turning into a giggly fangirl, probably.

This is so beautifully haunting. The entire -aura- of the story is wonderful. The flow, the manner of words--I really, really enjoyed it.

I have to disagree with another reviewer... I think having no quotations marks added to the story. A sort of eerie detachment...

I loved how you gave glances into Sephiroth, too, and related him to Kadaj, and the stuff about mothers... The only thing that made me a little uneasy is the Turks thing, where he lied with all of them... I suppose it gives them a certain closeness, and sadness when they couldn't touch him anymore, and a reason to let Kadaj do so--but it just seemed a little odd to me. Maybe I'm just a wuss...

I really hope you write more for Rufus! ^_^ You portrayed him so well.
