Cute short story.
I love how Xander catches himself giving Spike encouragement.
Bravo!

I loved this portrayal of how Spike basically let the others know what his life was like and asked for a second chance with them. It feels a bit out of character for Spike just having gotten his soul back. Despite his poet's heart, I really can't see him opening up easily to people, not even the Scoobies he's trying to befriend. Buffy yes, but not the rest of the gang. Despite that the story was still well written and interesting. It's a shame this is only a one shot though... I really would have liked to see Xander trying to deal with giving Spike a second chance.

That's acctually pretty cool! Loved it! I hope life is getting better for spike. He deserves another chance. I really loved how you wrote the story of his life in that camp-fire story!
