 RangerLord 2005-09-21 . chapter 1Beautiful.
Absolutely frakkin' beautiful.
This is the sort of moment that the show leaves to our imagination because you cannot truly capture the anguish through images and dialogue - you have to get inside these characters' heads. You can only do that through a story like this.
On the surface, this is a Tyrol/Boomer story, but what you've really written here is a character study of Chief Tyrol, reflected through his thoughts as he tries to deal with what Boomer is and the reality of his future without her. The picture you've painted of this man - his reason for being what he is, his dedication to his crew and his job, his feelings of loss at the destruction of the Colonies and the destruction of his life - rings so true to the character we see on screen.
Congratulations, well done! |
