Oh yes, this definitely has potential. Says alot for Snape's loyalty to Dumb that he doesn't jack the whole holiday idea in there and then.

In such scenarios, I've always fantasized of Snape doing a Slytherin and jumping ship. For instance, here, he would go to the end of the line, decide he needed to use the restroom, rather than return to the line he'd sneak out, find another taxi, go to a posh hotel under and assumed name, and have a nice rest.

If found in the line at the beginning by one of the Weasley's, then he'd pretend he'd spotted a Death Eater and give chase while in reality giving the Weasley's the slip, finding a taxi, ect, ect, ect.
