Yeah, I bet Amarant has a fun time watching Zidane squirm!

There are a few places that you missed quotation marks before/after speaking. You'd be able to catch them easily if you re-read it and look; some of them are pretty obvious. I'd list them, but I kinda don't want to take the time and look... cuz, I'd probably end up missing some and then I'd feel really dumb.

...This is it, huh? There's no "complete" status at the top, where it also says that you haven't updated in forever... so, I'm guessing it's either done, or it's been discontinued.

(tear) either way, I'm sad.

Good fic, though! You have a good style and don't go overboard with descriptions (except, of course, when they're needed). Maybe, though, you could try to find a happy medium between description and dialogue- I noticed that you relied almost exclusively on having the characters talk to one another. I had a similar problem with my writing at one point, and to work on it, started a story where one character was silent most of the way through the fic (it's not done yet, but you're welcome to check it out on my profile, if you plan on addressing the issue). Other than that, which isn't really that bad, this fic is golden. Though, I really wish you could continue the fic, if you have no inspiration, then don't bother.

I wouldn't want to loose my respect for you by reading an update that doesn't live up to the rest of the fic.

You know, as much OOC the characters are, I don't really find myself caring because you showed how they changed. Actually, Garnet didn't seem too OOC to me, and you didn't really touch on Eiko too much- if it makes you feel better, that's at least three out of five characters that you've kept in character.

But...

Like I said, you showed how Amarant changed from /hating/ Zidane to more of a love-hate relationship, kind of... Honestly, even if I wasn't absolutely in love with Ama-Zi, from reading your depiction of them, I could see how they become "rivals with benefits". Hell, even having Amarant suggesting the term sounds mostly in character to me.

Zidane... how about I not go there b/c I could go off on a huge rant on how you've made him OOC but that I don't care b/c it's so he's with Ama-chan.

Ha, poor Vivi, not knowing what's going on- I connect with Amrant, in that I hate kids, but Vivi is /totally/ an exception cuz he's just so wierd. Like, not a kid in mentality (most of the time) but still has the cute-kid look to him in a wierd black-mage sort of way. I like how you portray him, even though he's more like a side character in the fic.

I laughed when Ama-chan made his joke. I think, I really love that line.

(fangirl squee) yay, the smex-up had started! Thanks for not getting explicit, though; I have no tolerance for people who put slash pairings together just to make them ** and forget. I'd rather read the forget than the **, so I'm pretty happy with that. Plus, if you /had/ written it, I would have clicked back and not bothered to continue reading... which I really would have had a hard time with b/c I love this fic already.

It has Amarant and Zidane getting, erm, "friendly." Who can resist :)

Lol. yeah, I think I'd kill Zidane if he started breaking out in song while travelling in the desert. Unfortunately, I don't know that song- it kinda makes me want to look it up to find it, but I don't really know... meh, I'm lazy.

O... Ama-Zi pairing, hu? But, with a rating of T, which means no smex-ups, huh? (Or, at least, no explicit smex, right?)

...I can totally see Ama-chan getting drunk and smexing up Zidane. But, I guess I'll have to go read the other chapters to find out, huh?
