Funny, I had the same thought too and it elicted the same reaction when I first saw Haldir and his troop of exceedingly gorgeous elf warriors present themselves to Theoden:'What the f*!'
Though of course one shouldn't compare these two scenes as Haldir DIED, he DIES! *vainly shakes angry fist at unaware and most likely unconcerned Jackson* And I hardly think Sauron would mourn the loss of a mouth that does not brush his teeth. Unless of course said mouth had a pet orc?
Lovely that you acted upon this random act of violence and imbued logic to it. And yes, I am very aware that this review rather verbose, I'm blaming it on my classes.
