This story is bittersweet but very true. I love the way you describe your characters who looks human in more way than a lot of others charcaters are not.

First about the new Author's Note: I didn't mean to offend you as I honestly had no clue that any text placed Penny in a later year (my copy is a late edition). But alot of authors don't pay any attention to details (specially with years) and after awhile it gets on one's nerves.
As to the story content: I honestly feel it's rather good- certainly loads better than most Percy stories. I At time I think you place more emphasis on Percy's mistakes than necessary and hope that in future chapters there will be at last some acknowledgment from Arthur that he was in the wrong as well. On the whole, it's been a worthwhile read.

this is such a great story, i don't really see any Penelope stories often... glad to see that you had written about her!

I stumbled across one of your stories, A Romance With Dragons, last month and was blown away. You have a real talent for writing mature, emotional, well-characterized stories in the Harry Potter world. I didn't review right away because I wanted to read all of your stories and then send a glowing fannish review your direction.

I'm just so impressed. Your style is gorgeous and well-managed and your characterization is spot on. I love Penelope and the web you're weaving around her. Your familiarity with the British education system adds depth to the family interactions and conflict of expectations and the reality of life on the border of the Muggle and Wizarding worlds. I think that the way you show the impact of enormous events on characters' personal lives--ie Eleventh of August--is simply gorgeous. And having all your stories interlock is an impressive feat of craft. I hope you continue writing and posting!

It was quite a long wait for this chapter, but it was worth it. This was a nice intimate chapter between two people who've been hurt and betrayed by Percy, and also had some nice observations about the difference between Penelope's two worlds. Great job, you really nailed their characters, can't wait for the confrontation between Penelope and Percy!

Finally a story that focuses mainly on Penelope rather than having her as a minor reference in a Percy fic. I adore the Percy/Penelope angst relationship that you so greatly portray

You do realize that Penny is in the same grade as Percy, and is most likely older than him (unless she's born between Aug 23 and Sept. 1).

Brava! M'Dear, Brava! I adored this. It's a wonderful look at Penny. People rarely do this.

I especially loved the reapeated line. It was sweet, in a way, that two people so brilliant, so responsible, so assured, could be at the same time so innocent, so hopelessly and utterly naïve.
