Village-Mystic 2005-09-29 . chapter 1Okay, dear Yorick, this is actually the first story of yours that I read a few days ago. I tried to submit a review and log-in at the same time and it crashed. So I'll try to remember as best as I can, as this fine story deserves some feedback.
First off, I was expecting a little more of a humor story, but you did your drama, mythology and angst very well.
I'd be interested in reading more in this "universe"
I like your origin for the immortal witches, I think everyone had their own theory. Mine was that the first generation of these witches were half-fairy and half-human.
I like your thoughtfulness about Samanthana's origin as a temple preistess, and the thought that she and the others have married mortals on many occasions.
My question to you about what you made up versus what was in the television series is the part about meeting future and past selves. It sounds a bit like something they've done a few times in the "Charmed" series, but I don't recall it from "Bewitched". If you write more in this universe, I'd appreciate if you went into how this first occured for some of the characters instead of saying it matter-of-fact existing.
I also liked your decision, given the circumstances, that Serena was just an alter-ego for Samantha.
Thanks for sharing the tale. Hope to see some more work from you.
