Well, you suceeded in creating something that felt like a plausible "episode" for both series. I'd have liked a little more heart or introspection on Jim's part or a follow up on how Kolchak continues to surive with stories he can barely sell and knowing all about vampires. Usually in the series he'd only experience a monster once, this gives him a second confirmation in his mind and experience -- and that makes it particularly meaningful to how his career might proceed from here.
