In spite of every OoC-ism, I did like this story, especially Snape's growing up and becoming a human.

BTW: How and why did Albus adopt Snape?

So, now Draco Malfoy is forgiven as well? Did he make 'mistakes' when he almost killed Katie Bell and Ron? When he cast Crucio on Harry, Imperio on Rosmerta? When invited Death-Eaters into the school? Or may I say these were actually 'crimes'?

So Snape is alive again? *grin*

BTW: When did he actually save Harry's live? You could say he did _try_ that in HP1, but other than that? (In HP3 his only goal was to take revange on Sirius Black.)

ok, not to complain, but you really need to use something to show that a scene change is happening. doesn't really matter what. * is the norm, but i've seen just about every other symbol. otherwise, it gets a little confusing on how quickly it changes.

*grins and growls at you* oh, you naughty naughty author! you had me so fooled at the end of your first story on this. wasn't till i found this one that i realized what you had done. i really like this approach. they don't play it up nearly enough in the books, although, the movies do show neville slimming down, and seriously growing up. and much like snape, there's a lot going on under the surface that people didn't pay attention to.

Very interestingly handled at the end. I like the portrait of Dumbledore in Snape's study. Found a mis-spelling: "...and again fell head over heals in love" - that should be heels.

Just me revisiting your story to catch up. At the end of this chapter was a line that reminded me of the Billy Joel song, "Getting Closer". I'd always felt that song applied to Snape and my favorite anti-heroes. :)

Oh wonderful wrap up. I know you don't write slash but a great 'feeling' friendship is almost as good :D and this one was wonderful. You tied up the loose ends neatly and Macnair's ending was hysterical.
