well, just one fallacy. If Kaoru's mum died at her 21st birthday, when Kaoru is 8 yrs old, then if you do simple calculations, Kaoru's mum would have to be 13 when Kaoru was born... honestly that is quite impossible...

but aside that (crumble and throw it aside) THIS STORY IS GREAT haha got a laugh when Kenshin compared his wounds with Kaoru's.
