LavenderSkies 2007-12-23 ch 1,	abuseWow, that was a really interesting read. I can't easily sum up how I feel about it, because I was feeling so many different things. Haha! I feel the worst for Kouga...poor guy. I wanted to slap Kagome around for using him like that. But then I can also understand her desperation and pain. And then there's Inuyasha who knew the truth but couldn't say anything. It's just so bittersweet all around. I really liked the way the story wrapped up with a bit of humor and a more positive note. Kouga and Inuyasha coming to some sort of understanding. It was beautiful. Thanks for writing it. =D

I believe that hidden pain is the main mood to this story. Even though Kagome seems fairly emotionless and selfish to the point that she didn't consider Inuyasha's feeling toward the whole affair, I feel that she is in grief. Everything seems to make a lovely connection because obviously Kagome never felt at ease with herself knowing that her secret can be revealed at any time. Perhaps she was even drenched in guilt since obviously all of her close friends and acquaintance knew of her treachery. I also admire the way you portrayed Inuyasha as an adult. He seemed to have a better perspective to and tolerance for the ordeal. Or perhaps his heart just grew cold after knowing how his wife ran off to his rival and conceived children that was not his. Either way, he seemed very mature. In the end, I found it odd that both Inuyasha and Koga maintained their undying love for Kagome who two-timed them. Perhaps if you turned the story into a multi-chaptered story, you might be able to reveal Kagome's real emotions. It might help the readers to understand why both men can still love her despite her selfish acts. Still, I find this story intriguing. Ciao ciao

I was thinking, if you had written this as a long story instead of a one-shot, the impact it would have on the readers would be very different.
