This one reminds me of River in Ariel, where she can't watch Jayne fighting the guard and keeps cringing away...reading this I was thinking, my god, that's what is going through her head, how much she hates knowing how to do those things, knowing she has done them/will do them, knowing she could kill the gaurd faster/more efficiently then Jayne. |

I really like the image of Jayne as a bear (and I giggled mightily at the Mama Bear line) and how River floats from good to bad and back again. I can't remember which number it was, but when she's a bear and trying to get her claws/scalpel/needle into them? Wow. |

Its sad, and seems very true, and yet funny (in a 'aw poor Jayne' kind of way) I love all of your stories, you really have River and Jayne's relationship grow from what was on the show to something that could be romance. I just have to ask, because I'm oddly curious about these things, why did you decide on 30 stories in the series? I love all of the entries so far, and I'm sure I'll love all that come after, heck I'm sure I'll be asking you for more at nubmer 30 (unless you kill them both and then...really no more story to be told is there?) Its a good number. Great work, as always. |
