Wolf-of-Five-Elements 2009-08-31 . chapter 2Great story... I love your writing style! I'm kind of sad about the ending though... I wish they'd had a happy ending. Oh well, great work! |
Setsuna-cutey 2009-03-11 . chapter 2Thank you for uploading this beautiful fic, it's spot on. |
Ismene 2008-04-18 . chapter 2 This is one of the best Wicked fics I've read; I find that most people either don't tackle the bookverse or do it badly because the dialect and context is more difficult, but you handled it wonderfully. Nessa, Elphie, and Glinda were all spot-on, but I think the voice you really nailed was Boq's. His section read exactly like an out-take from the novel, for me, and I can't think of a greater compliment than that. |
Dauthi 2007-11-04 . chapter 2oh god. that was horrifically sad. and beautiful. |
scrawling purple ink 2007-03-24 . chapter 2Oh my god, this fic was perfect. The language was incredibly sophisticated and the characters were completely in, well, character. The best Wicked fic I've ever read. |
Alphawolf69 2007-01-22 . chapter 2Beautifully written and heartbreaking. Excellent job, I can't think of anything that could have improved this at all. |
Yero my hero 2006-02-21 . chapter 2Wow, this was truly amazing. The description, the characters, their voice and the way they reacted... everything was perfect. The Nessarose part especially, I never liked her much, but you really put her into perspective. Just, wow, I am looking forward to reading other stories of yours. I really enjoyed this, a lot. Really. |
TheAgonyofBlank 2006-02-18 . chapter 2Oh, whoa. That was really, really, amazingly good. Very well-written; I thought all of the characters were in-character. The line “Well, which is it? Two or three?” (in chapter one) made me laugh. Good job, and keep it up! |
kaput 2006-02-12 . chapter 2This is well written, elegant, beautiful and sad. You have everyone so in character that it's scary, though I'm sure you worked hard to make it so. I love Elphaba's snarky comments, and I also love how she "was intelligent and adept and clever—and wholly incapable of seeing what was right in front of her" because that seemed so true to who she is. Glinda is wonderful, too, of course (the hair! what a great touch!). And Boq. And even Nessa, in her oppressive self-righteous way. Your imagery is stunning and your word choice superb, although my one nitpick is that you could cut back on the number of adverbs --just a stylistic thing with me, so you don't have to acknowledge it if you don't want. Overall, your work is excellent. Keep it up! |
Fiona Traviata 2006-01-23 . chapter 1This is possibly one of the most intelligent pieces I have read on this site... and much more intelligent than anything I have written. Add the fact that the language is breathtakingly beautiful... I'm rather jealous. Oddly enough, it calls to mind the relationship I have with my best friend, and that is something I thank you for... I've realized something rather important about it. Thank you. |
Greenhell 2006-01-02 . chapter 2this was really good
i liked it |
an-angel-in-hell 2005-12-13 . chapter 2Ah! Terrifically angsty but so well written- you have the charactors' voices down pat. Brilliant, truly! Horry for Glinda/Elphie. |
fanofthearts 2005-12-10 . chapter 2 This is the most depressing sad story I have ever read in my life...but yet it was so good. I look forward to more of your work. |
kate 2005-12-10 . chapter 2 Simply fabulous. I'm this close to crying. |
CrashCart9 2005-12-10 . chapter 2Oh, sadness! "Elphaba was fraught with the anxiety and paranoia I had always loved her in spite of—or for, perhaps." |
