Another great piece of work to add to The Ace List. Nice job.

This was a fascinating story; I liked the description of Vala and of the May Day joust and I found von Mellenthin a fascinating character. The description at the end states that von Mellenthin had a fiancee in Vala; did they ever marry? Very interesting, even though I don't know all of the background leading up to it.
