I like this. A beautiful story, well told.

I'm not surprised that Swift Wind wouldn't want to dwell on his nearly dying at the Battle for Bright Moon. I love how he speaks of his wife and son.

I wonder if he'll find his mother once the Horde is permanently clobbered.

Incidentally, do I see shades of Black Beauty in his life story? :)
