Hilarious! I had my doubts about Silmarillion fanfic (mostly about my ability to remember all the names and definitions of people/places/things) but this has certainly been an entertaining read.

The bureaucratic elves are very funny, as are the fake Silmarils and all the talk of visas and passports. Anyone who's done any international travel will find it eeriely true to life.

By the gods, the bureaucracy of the elves! I'm sure had most known of it, they would have given Valinor a skip!
But, it is a bit sad that Gimli's casing had to be broken as he spent much time and love on it.
